Las Alpujarras in early spring is a breathtaking sight. The hills are blanketed in purples, pinks, and whites, with the air filled with the intoxicating fragrance of blossoms. Meanwhile, the snow-covered Sierra Nevada provides a stunning backdrop for our daily walks.
This guided walking holiday spans five days, including three days of guided walks and four nights at the excellent Alquiera de Morayma hotel. The walks are designed to be leisurely, allowing you to fully enjoy and appreciate this stunning area.
Experience a 4-night guided walking holiday in the winter sunshine of the Sierra Nevada and Las Alpujarras. February, March, September, and October are fantastic times to walk among the almond blossoms of the Contraviesa. Strolling through vineyards and almond groves, you’ll be surrounded by vibrant pinks and purples, with the sweet scent of almonds creating a captivating atmosphere.
Our 3 days guided walks are all fairly leisurely but each unique, offering spectacular views and diverse landscapes. During this time of year, the weather is usually dry and sunny, with daytime temperatures around 18°C, perfect for walking. However, nights can be cold. We’ll stay at the beautiful Alquiera de Morayma hotel for four nights, enjoying their delightful restaurant and a cozy roaring fire.
The guide will provide a detailed briefing on each day’s hike, introduce the trail, and offer continuous advice throughout the day while hiking with the group. The tour leader will handle day-to-day needs. Additionally, the guide will share interesting facts about the region’s true beauty, including its traditions, cuisine, history, and landscapes.
We will organize several outdoor picnics featuring a variety of local products. Each day, we aim to arrive at the hotel at a respectable hour, allowing time to enjoy the surroundings and take a swim in the hotel swimming pool. A hiking day typically lasts between 5 and 6 hours, including breaks and lunch.
Meet at Malaga airport for our transfer to Cadiar.
Welcome and Briefing: Upon arrival, the guide will provide a detailed briefing on each day’s walk, introduce the trail, and offer continuous advice. The guide will also go through the week's itinerary and answer any questions you may have.
