Our cycling route winds through the rolling olive groves of the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park & Geopark, a region deeply rooted in Spain’s olive oil heritage. Our journey ends at a traditional Andalusian farmhouse, now a beautifully converted hotel, where you can unwind by the pool and take in the breathtaking views.
Later, your tour leader will arrange a panoramic walk through the stunning village of Zuheros, followed by a delightful dinner in the heart of town.
Riding Distance: 80 km
On your final cycling day, we follow two legendary routes that lead us to Córdoba, our grand destination.
First, we trace the footsteps of history along the Route of the Caliphate, an ancient Andalusian path connecting Córdoba and Granada, two of al-Andalus’s most influential capitals. Once a bustling trade route, this corridor was a melting pot of cultures, commerce, and knowledge, where merchants, scholars, and artisans shaped the region’s rich heritage.
We also ride along the Mozarabic Way to Santiago de Compostela, a sacred trail honoring the Mozarabs, Christians who remained in al-Andalus despite religious persecution. This historic route stands as a testament to their resilience and devotion.
As we approach Córdoba, the final stretch of our journey unveils stunning panoramic views of the city, nestled within the Guadalquivir River Valley.
In the evening, your tour leader will arrange a special farewell dinner to celebrate the completion of this unforgettable adventure.
Enjoy a free day to explore Córdoba, a city where history and culture intertwine, reflecting a rich tapestry of Roman, Moorish, and Christian influences. Once a thriving Roman settlement, Córdoba later rose to greatness as the capital of the Islamic Emirate and Caliphate, becoming one of the most advanced and cultured cities of the medieval world.
In the morning, those who have pre-booked can embark on an optional guided tour of the iconic Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba, a UNESCO-listed masterpiece that stands as a symbol of the city’s diverse heritage.
As the journey comes to a close, your tour guide will arrange a special farewell dinner, a perfect way to reminisce and celebrate the unforgettable experiences of the past week.
The journey concludes following breakfast at our hotel. Subsequently, a private transfer service will be arranged to transport guests from the hotel to the airport in Granada, ensuring a seamless and comfortable transition to onward destinations.
