TRIP AT A GLANCE

This unique all-women hiking journey invites you to walk through the ancient heart of Andalusia, where earth, history, and quiet beauty converge. Beginning in Guadix, a town known for its troglodyte dwellings and dramatic landscapes, the route winds through remote countryside, arid plateaus, and hidden villages—each step revealing a new side of Spain far from the usual tourist trail.

Over the course of the journey, you’ll hike from village to village—passing through Benalúa, Villanueva de las Torres, the striking desert formations of Gorafe, the peaceful charm of Bacor, the mineral springs near Canal del Jabalcón, and into the lush surroundings of Cortes de Baza—before arriving at the breathtaking mountain village of Castril. The landscapes shift with every stretch: from open desert and megalithic sites to forested riversides and deep canyons. Along the way, you’ll share stories, silence, and laughter with fellow women walking this path beside you.

What makes this experience truly special is the accommodation—each night is spent in a traditional cave house, offering cool, quiet comfort carved directly into the earth. These unique dwellings, steeped in history and natural charm, provide the perfect place to rest, reflect, and reconnect after each day’s walk.

This is more than a hike—it’s a soulful journey grounded in nature and community, where the pace of walking allows you to fully absorb the rhythm of the land. The trip concludes with a scenic transfer to Granada, where the energy of the city contrasts beautifully with the raw serenity of the trails you’ve traveled.

These dwellings were later perfected during the Moorish era, combining practicality with architectural charm.

Uniquely adapted to their environment, cave houses offer natural insulation, maintaining a cool interior in summer and warmth in winter. Their distinctive design blends seamlessly with the landscape, reflecting the harmonious relationship between human settlement and nature.
