BIRD WATCHING

Andalucia is a birdwatcher’s paradise, home to many of Western Europe’s bird species. The region’s diverse terrain plays a key role in attracting such a rich variety of birds. At the Alqueria, we are ideally located within easy reach of coastal cliffs, rocky shores, sandy beaches, wetlands, and marshes. The landscape also features scrubland, semi-desert, farmland, orchards, gardens, rolling hills, and even alpine highlands.

Summer, though hot, brings vibrant visitors such as bee-eaters, woodchat shrikes, and rollers. Autumn is an excellent time for both birdwatching and walking, with many species passing through on migration.
