Tour Plan

Embark on a guided cycling tour through Spain’s most enchanting region, where every turn reveals breathtaking landscapes, charming villages, and centuries of history. Ride at your own pace along quiet country lanes and hidden trails, experiencing the true essence of Andalucía as you journey between two of its most iconic towns—Ronda and Cordoba.

Day 1 Welcome to Andalucía – Arrival in Málaga

We’ll begin the day with a pickup from Malaga Airport, upon arriving in Ronda, our private transfer will whisk you away to a charming rural hotel perched dramatically above a breathtaking gorge that divides the city in two. That same day, your tour guide will host an introductory briefing, followed by a comprehensive safety session to ensure a smooth and enjoyable journey ahead.

Kick off your adventure by exploring Ronda’s most iconic landmarks, from the legendary Puente Nuevo bridge to the historic Plaza de Toros, Spain’s oldest bullring. If you're a wine enthusiast, consider a delightful side trip to one of the region’s renowned vineyards, where you can immerse yourself in the art of local winemaking.

As the day winds down, your tour leader will arrange a special welcome dinner—a perfect way to toast the beginning of this unforgettable experience.

Day 2 Sierra De Las Nieves & Gaitanes Gorge

Cycling Distance: 57 Km

Our adventure continues as we journey toward the breathtaking Gaitanes Gorge, one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in the Málaga mountains. We’ll spend our second night surrounded by this dramatic natural beauty.

Departing the hotel, we’ll travel along winding country roads through the Ronda Mountain Range and the Sierra de las Nieves National Park, a region of pure, unspoiled splendor. Along the way, we’ll pause for a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint offering sweeping vistas of the surrounding peaks.

In the afternoon, we arrive at our hotel set in the heart of the Natural Park, where you’ll have the rest of the day free to relax.

Take a dip in the swimming pool or simply unwind while admiring the breathtaking mountain views.

Day 3 Andalusia’s Countryside and Historic Antequera

Cycling Distance: 45 Km

This morning offers two delightful options.

Those who have pre-booked the optional walk along the “Caminito del Rey” can experience one of Spain’s most iconic trails — a breathtaking walkway suspended along the cliffs of the Gaitanes Gorge.

For the rest of the group, enjoy a relaxed morning or head to the nearby lake for a refreshing swim.

At midday, we take a short transfer by our support vehicle, bypassing the steep section of the route to begin our second cycling track at a higher elevation. Today’s ride leads us through Andalusia’s rolling countryside, a colorful mosaic of Mediterranean farmland, olive groves, and open pastures framed by rugged mountains.

After a picnic lunch amid the scenic landscape, we continue our ride toward the historic town of Antequera, renowned for its rich heritage and said to have the highest number of churches per inhabitant in Spain. Discover its monasteries, palaces, Moorish fortress, and even prehistoric dolmens, all testaments to its fascinating past.

In the evening, we recommend you to have dinner in the charming center of Antequera, the perfect setting to relax and share stories from the day’s adventures.

Day 4 Mountainous Olive Groves & Priego De Córdoba

Cycling Distance: 41 Km

This morning, we set out by vehicle to our new starting point — a picturesque village perched atop the ruins of a Moorish castle, overlooking a stunning valley and shimmering lake below.

Our route today winds through the Olive Grove Landscapes of Andalusia, within the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park and Geopark. Olive trees have long defined this region’s identity — their silvery leaves and ancient trunks stretching across the hillsides. While olive groves are found throughout Spain, Andalusia is home to the greatest concentration, a legacy dating back to Roman times, when the Hispania Baetica province supplied olive oil to the Roman Empire.

Our journey ends in the beautiful village of Priego de Córdoba, nestled in the heart of the Natural Park. Before dinner, take part in an olive oil tasting masterclass, where you’ll learn to appreciate this liquid gold through its aroma, flavor, and texture.

The afternoon is free to explore — wander through the charming old quarter with its whitewashed houses, flower-filled patios, and narrow cobbled streets.

Day 5 The Route of the Old Oil Train

Cycling Distance: 60 Km

Today’s ride takes us deeper into the spectacular landscapes of the Sierras Subbéticas mountains, winding through picturesque whitewashed villages that capture the essence of rural Andalusia.

After enjoying another outdoor picnic amid the natural beauty, we join the “Vía Verde”, the former Oil Train Route — a historic railway line now transformed into a scenic greenway for cyclists and walkers. The trail meanders gently through olive groves and vineyards, offering peaceful countryside views and a touch of nostalgia from Andalusia’s railway past.

Our journey ends at a traditional Andalusian farmhouse, beautifully restored into a charming rural hotel.

Spend the afternoon at leisure — relax by the swimming pool, soak up the breathtaking views, or simply unwind in the tranquil surroundings.

In the evening, gather Guide will recommend for you a best place for dinner.

Day 6 The Caliphate and the Mozarabic Route

Cycling Distance: 80 Km

On our final cycling day, we journey along two historic routes that lead us to our ultimate destination — the magnificent city of Córdoba.

The first, the Route of the Caliphate, forms part of the Andalusian Legacy, linking Córdoba and Granada — once the grand capitals of the Caliphate and Nasrid al-Andalus. During the Middle Ages, this was one of the busiest trade corridors on the Iberian Peninsula. Merchants from across the known world traveled this path, exchanging goods, ideas, and culture. It was also a route of knowledge, science, and the arts, a living testament to Andalusia’s golden age.

We also follow sections of the Mozarabic Way to Santiago de Compostela, an ancient pilgrimage route honoring the Mozarabs — Christians who lived under Muslim rule in Al-Andalus. Their steadfast devotion, even in times of repression, remains a symbol of faith and perseverance.

As we approach the end of our longest cycling stage, the panoramic views open up to reveal Córdoba, gracefully set within the Guadalquivir Valley, where the river winds through fertile plains and centuries of history converge.

In the evening, your tour leader will recommend a place for authentic dinner

Day 7 Explore Córdoba

Today is yours to explore the rich history and vibrant culture of Córdoba, a city where Roman, Moorish, and Christian legacies intertwine to create one of Spain’s most fascinating destinations. Once a major Roman settlement and later the capital of the Islamic Emirate and Caliphate of Córdoba, the city flourished during the Middle Ages as one of the most advanced and cosmopolitan centers in the world.

In the morning, those who have pre-booked the activity can join an optional guided tour of the Great Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture and a symbol of centuries of cultural harmony.

Enjoy the rest of the day at your own pace — stroll through the flower-filled patios, wander the labyrinthine streets of the Jewish Quarter, or relax in one of the city’s charming cafés.

In the evening, your tour guide will arrange a farewell dinner in the heart of Córdoba, the perfect opportunity to celebrate the final night of our journey together and share memories of the adventures along the way.

Day- 8 Farewell

After breakfast at the hotel, our journey comes to an end. A private transfer will take you either to Málaga Airport or, if preferred, directly to your hotel in Granada.
